Now and again I try to think of new lamps into which I can incorporate an ecobrick (a 2 litre cooldrink bottle stuffed with non-recyclable plastic). I’m pleased with how this mixed-media upcycling experiment turned out. At the moment, this is the only woven newspaper lamp in my range. Whales are by far my most successful woven animal design, too. Making its spray was also the first time I experimented with plastic in that way. Its eyes are made from circles cut from cooldrink cans, and buttons from my collection.
