The removable lampshade of this unique piece is made from egg boxes. When I use cardboard for my creations, I enjoy finding ways to use it that show off its original qualities. I was inspired by the shapes found in egg box trays. The cardboard came from a local shop, and the egg boxes from my own kitchen.
The lampstand shows off the fluted or wavy inner layer of a cardboard box. Several layers are glued together to make the lampstand strong as well as attractive.
The lampshade and lampstand are both sealed with a water-based sealer. They are fragile and need to be handled with care.
The lampstand is wired with a quality brass lampholder, and is to be used only with LED bulbs. I like LED filament bulbs the best.
